Bioclimatic pergolas

Bioclimatic intelligence is our commitment to designing homes in harmony with their environment, making the most of natural elements to protect, capture, transform, diffuse and conserve heat or coolness.
Aware that our homes must increasingly take advantage of climatic conditions, our expertise, presented with LT-Performance, enables us to assess the bioclimatic performance of each solution at a glance.
Sun, wind, snow, rain... our protection and design solutions know how to play with these natural elements to ensure your comfort and balance!

LT-Performance is based on a scale from 0 (least efficient) to 5 (most efficient), enabling you to assess the bioclimatic solution best suited to your living space.

RESULTS IN SUNNY WEATHER
When the sun is shining brightly, LA TOULOUSAINE bioclimatic solutions offer instant adjustment between sunshine, heat and light.
RESULTS IN WINDY WEATHER
When the wind is omnipresent, LA TOULOUSAINE bioclimatic solutions offer perfect adjustment in light breezes or strong winds, between cold and warm air
RESULTS IN WET WEATHER
When it rains lightly or heavily, LA TOULOUSAINE bioclimatic solutions adapt perfectly to cope with ambient humidity and coolness.
RESULTS IN SNOWY WEATHER (WITH SLATS CLOSED)
When snow is present, LA TOULOUSAINE bioclimatic solutions are the right choice to make the most of your outdoor space when it's cold and damp.

Aluminum structure and slats:
Clean 2 to 4 times a year with clean water and a neutral/mild detergent. The 175° blade rotation allows access to both sides of the blades from the ground.
Do not use solvents, abrasive, acid or alkaline detergents, thinners such as acetone or trichloroethylene, bleach or abrasive powder products.
We also strongly advise against the use of high-pressure cleaners.
For pergolas exposed to sea air, we recommend regular rinsing with clear water to remove salt deposits.

Strip LED lighting system:
Clean with a slightly damp cloth or wipe.

The 175°-rotating slats produce a Venturi effect, i.e. accelerated air movement for natural ventilation under the pergola.this rotation also facilitates maintenance of the slats, as they can be cleaned from the ground on both sides.

To ensure the durability of your bioclimatic pergola when it snows, here are a few important reflexes to adopt:
  • Open the Slats at 90° to avoid snow accumulation. Excessive weight could damage the structure or block the opening and closing mechanism of the Slats*
  • Deactivate the rain sensor to prevent the Slats from closing automatically.
  • Remove snow regularly using a snow broom or soft brush to avoid damaging the pavement.
  • Makesure gutters are clear to allow melt water to drain away properly.
* According to the EUROCODE standard, our pergola Slats have a load-bearing capacity of 95 kg/m² (climatic snow load in plain terrain). Above this weight, there is a risk of deformation of the Slats.

From July 31, 2024, the 10% VAT rate will face mounted pergolas under certain conditions:

  • On a home more than two years old
  • adjoining the dwelling
  • do not enclose the areas concerned
  • They must not increase the floor area of existing buildings.
